Authorities have identified a man and a woman who were found shot to death at a Gwinnett County home Sunday.

Gwinnett police responded at about 4 p.m. to a domestic disturbance in the 300 block of Stone Hill Drive near Stone Mountain, according to police spokesperson Juan Reyes. The area is near DeShong Park.

A relative had called 911 after they found the man and woman suffering from at least one gunshot wound each. But responding officers arrived to find them dead in the home, Reyes said.

They were identified by police Monday as Pilar Rosas, 43, and Maria Garza, 40. Both were from Stone Mountain.

Reyes said the shooting likely arose from a dispute between Rosas and Garza, who “were acquainted.” Police are investigating the shooting as a homicide.

“Detectives are not seeking any additional suspects and are asking anyone with information about the incident to come forward,” Reyes said.

Anyone with more information is asked to contact police at 770-513-5300. To remain anonymous, tipsters can contact Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477) or visit stopcrimeATL.com. Tipsters can receive a cash reward for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case.
